As an Accounting Manager at Caterpillar, you will manage the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing, and other accounting functions for the Caterpillar Indonesia Batam facility. The work our accounting team does with budgets, inventory, taxes, auditing, and all things finance is pivotal to our continued growth and success. Work Location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau
Travel Requirement: 0 – 10%
You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.
Domestic relocation is available for this position.
What You Will Do:
Producing accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external use, following GAAP and compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Preparing or leading the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations.
Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed; working closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff and providing for their professional development; analyzing and solving accounting problems.
What You Have (Required):
Good proficiency in English.
Skills in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting, Planning, Analytical Thinking, Effective Communications, Judgment and Decision Making, and Managing People.
Experience in product costing.
Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
Actively drive cost improvements and projects.
Performs variance analysis between actual, prior, and standard costs.
Monitors, analyses, and reports on inventory valuation, production, supply chain, sourcing, and various other costs.
Top Candidates Will Also Bring:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
Experience working with SAP FICO.
Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):
This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
